Half-yearly examinations started in the council schools of Mathura from Monday. On the first day, students of classes one to five took the oral examination of all subjects in 1536 council schools and 10 Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools running in the district. In the first shift of classes six, seven and eight, papers of basic craft, art, agriculture and home craft subjects were held.

In the second shift, papers of sports, physical education and scouting were held. During the examinations, the number of students in schools was more than usual, but 100% attendance was still not there. BSA Sunil Dutt has given instructions to ensure 100% attendance in the examination. The principals along with the teachers monitored the conduct of the first day’s examination. The examinations will continue till 28th December.

Only teachers will prepare question papers in school

The budget released by the government for half-yearly examinations was not received this time. In such a situation the question papers could not be printed. BSA has instructed all the headmasters to prepare question papers in the school at their own level and take the examination of the children.
